manatee knee

Nate's knee has two new moles, and we think that it makes his knee look like a manatee.
Really. Maybe you have to see it in person.

Here Comes The Sun!

"The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month."
~Henry VanDyke, 1899
It happened today, while I was at the dentist's office. It's a silly event, but one that I look forward to and anticipate every year. It never fails me.
You see, I love the song Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. For as long as I can remember, there always comes a day in late winter/early spring that the weather and the song and the stars all align, and I hear that song while enjoying one of the first sunny days after a long winter. It has to be the Beatles version of it, and it has to be a really sunny, blue-sky day. It always stops me in my tracks, and I savor all 3 minutes of it.

Valentines Day with the cousins

Yes, I've been a lazy blogger. The boys and I went to Seattle for the 3 day weekend and had some fun cousin time. On Valentines Day, we had a delicious dinner of cheese fondue. mmm
Aunt Susie really knows how to make it special!
Drinking soda with grenadine in real crystal goblets. How fancy is that?
We went to Aunt Susie's STRENGTH studio to run around and get some energy out.

Happy Birthday to Me

My 1st birthday cake.
Always a heart shaped, cherry-chip cake. ( I really don't even like cherry-chip.)
But that's what you get when you have the only February birthday in the family.
Cheers to 43!

Portland Parent Coach---what it's all about

My new endeavor. I have been thinking about getting this business going for about the past 3 years, and it's time has finally arrived. You can learn more about it here. If you know of a family in the Portland area that might be looking for this type of help, please send them my way!
It's kind of like Nanny 911....but without the British accent or the black cape and heels. :)
